Did You Know?
A group of flamingos is called a “flamboyance”—a fitting name for these vibrant, elegant birds! Thanks to their webbed feet, they can appear to run on water as they take off for flight, creating a stunning spectacle.
With every piece I create, my goal is not only to inspire and entertain but also to educate—embedding fascinating facts like these directly into my artwork.
For this Flamingo Sunset piece, I carefully selected words like grunt and growl, nasal honking, and social, along with phrases such as “are born white,” “name means flame-colored,” and “national bird of the Bahamas.” In total, you’ll find over 30 words and phrases hidden throughout this artwork, each one celebrating the beauty and uniqueness of these graceful birds.
Every piece of my art is digitally hand-drawn, one letter at a time, with no word or phrase ever repeated. Depending on the complexity, each artwork takes between 6 and 60 hours to complete.
I truly hope this piece brings you as much joy as I had in creating it!
